On its own, the TestNav application provides users access to various student practice tests in specific subjects and grades. Pearson is under contract with certain education agencies (including state education agencies) and educational institutions or organizations (“Education Agencies”) to provide services for designated educational assessment programs (“Assessment Programs”). Each Education Agency contracts with Pearson to provide the practice tests associated with their Assessment Program pursuant to agreed specifications. Except as noted below, this application is not designed to collect personal information from users, but inquiries, comments, and support requests may be submitted via email or by telephone.
TestNav 8 is Pearson's newest test delivery platform for online testing. TestNav 8 is a cloud-based application delivering assessments via a web browser on desktop and laptop computers, and a custom application on selected tablets, desktops, and laptops.

Access to a practice test, through the initial login screen, allows, but does not require, a user to insert his or her first and last nA user may instead decide to insert a pseudonym or leave the default “guest” in the login field blank. The user then selects a specific Assessment Program and identifies the subject and grade for the assessment. Once a user accesses an assessment, a file is created on the user’s hard drive that records the assessment selection and user actions. Pearson does not retain any of the information the user inserts into the login fields or the user actions but does collect information relative to the device and operating system used and assessment accessed. Pearson utilizes this information only to assist with user issues and provide information to the Education Agency regarding frequency of test access and types of devices and operating systems used.
